The Royal College of Nursing was creating a new online learning resource called 'Be an Effective Flexible Learner’. Its aim was to help nurses and healthcare assistants develop confidence about learning through online and distance-learning courses, like those provided by the Open University.
In order to convey the benefits and challenges of this type of learning, the RCN commissioned us to capture the stories of people who had undertaken flexible-learning courses.
We interviewed eight people in a variety of roles, producing short audio case studies and transcripts to go with them. We have permission to reproduce one here. This is Marlon Weekes, who works in IT at the Royal College of Nursing (duration 3:07).
